Delete your account

You can permanently delete your Cafe Journal account and all of its data at any time. The quickest way is in the app; if you no longer have the app, send us a request by email.

Option 1: In the app (instant)

1. Open Cafe Journal and sign in.
2. Open the menu (☰) and tap Account.
3. Tap Delete account and confirm.

Your account and data are deleted immediately.

Option 2: Request by email

Email cafejournalapp@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my Cafe Journal account", from the email address linked to your account, and tell us whether you signed in with Apple or Google. If you used Apple's "Hide My Email", send it from the Apple ID email instead and we'll match it. We'll confirm the request comes from you, then delete your account within 30 days and email you when it's done.

What gets deleted

• Your account (sign-in identifier, email address, and any name and profile picture link received from Google)
• All journal entries: cafes, drinks, prices, ratings, moods, notes and who you were with
• All photos, cafe logos, journal pages and covers you created
• Your journal name and payment history in Cafe Journal

Data is removed from our live systems right away and from backups within 30 days. Deletion can't be undone.

What may be kept

• Purchase records held by Apple, Google and our subscription provider RevenueCat, which they keep as required for billing, tax and fraud prevention under their own policies.
• Server logs (such as IP addresses), kept for up to 90 days for security.
• Any journal pages you already shared to other apps, which are outside our control.

Don't forget your subscription

Deleting your account does not cancel Cafe Journal Premium. To stop future charges, cancel it in your subscription settings: on iPhone, Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions; on Android, Google Play › Profile › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions.
